Map Database

The Droyd SDK requires MicroMap as underlying map database format.

MicroMap is OneStepAhead's fast, ultra-compact, loss-free, and platform independent storage format for vector-based maps. Using MicroMap you can store regular navigable maps with the smallest and fastest memory footprint in the market. MicroMap maps are created automatically from UMDB, our unified mapping database technology which supports literally any vector-based map.

MicroMap is a vector format which is not regionally divided or organized as tiles. MicroMap can be described best as a a spatially organized vector database . MicroMap can be used both embedded platforms as well as for web based application: it provides the same features for both worlds
